Showing up for people and families,
magic happens
I offer an accepting, loving presence and ‘light the way’ with compassion and companionship on the journey. I’m familiar with the sea of emotions, as well as light, love and laughter.

Work with the dying and their loved ones is my calling and I support and resource people in living well in each moment. This means accompanying patients through the trajectory of terminal illness, sometimes as they breathe their last breath.
Accompanying may be as simple as silent presence. Sometimes we play music, enjoy flowers, a song, prayer, poem or create ceremony together. Sometimes we complete aspects of a life such as contacting distant loved ones on your behalf or writing a letter. We share many light moments, reflections, memories, hand and foot rubs along the way…
“You’re an uplifter”
Each person and life is unique and as Bodhi Be says “We fall in love with each and every one”.
It’s a privilege to share people’s lives, what holds meaning, their thoughts, life stories, feelings and dreams.

I know the power of being present for oneself and others in troubled times. I also know what it is to live well with loss and uncertainty.
In my early twenties my soulmate was killed in a logging accident. In one brief moment, an ordinary day turned to heart-wrenching tragedy.
Life revealed its fleeting nature and uncertainty when three more friends died. Two dear friends died when a truck turned in front of their motorbike, another saved a drowning child but lost his own life.
Personal, family and friends’ diagnoses, illnesses or deaths remind me to live with uncertainty and life’s fleeting nature. Life’s cycles, uncertainty, beauty and mystery have all revealed themselves.
I work unpaid for Hospice Waikato as Patient and Family Support and Life Story writer. I’m also a regular at Raglan Rest Home and Hospital where we do fun stuff such as collage, stories and laugh a lot!
I see people as whole, no matter how broken their spirit or body appears.
No ‘right’ or ‘wrong’, no rules… only your way.
You can be accompanied, companioned, walked with... I’m here to walk with you.
